Bundles
At Koala, we chose to gather our products and services in bundles. A bundle is a package gathering one or several products at once and dealing with possible product incompatibilities.
Example: You can have a bundle called Silver
containing a Flight Disruption Compensation
product and a bundle
called Gold
containing both Flight Disruption Compensation
and Flex
products.
Each time you ask Koala for a quote, you will receive one quote per bundle from us.
Bundle details
Bundles are generated by Koala and are the result of business talks between your company and Koala.
In the staging environment, we will set arbitrary prices for a bundle if the actual prices have not been contractually defined yet. We will update the bundles pricing settings as soon as the prices are final.
Bundle identifier
Each bundle has a unique technical name that will NEVER change. Every quote will be identified by its related bundle name.
You can therefore rely on the bundle name to simply identify the products behind the bundle.
For instance, the bundle name will be essential to retrieve our product T&C.
Bundle example
Our bundles will deal with any possible product incompatibilities. Let's take a closer look at what this means 🔎
Imagine you want to offer 3 products to your customers, 1 included by default in all bookings (called Koala Flex
) and
2 optionals which are exclusive products (called Flight Disruption Compensation
and Missed Connection Compensation
).
In such a case, you will have 3 bundles:
- one bundle
Silver
containingKoala Flex
only - another bundle
Gold
containing bothKoala Flex
andFlight Disruption Compensation
- and a last bundle
Platinum
containing bothKoala Flex
andMissed Connection Compensation
Now that we are on the same page regarding the vocabulary we use, let's get to the heart of integrating our API.
